Day 1: Muscat
SWISS-flight to Muscat around noon. Arrival in Muscat around midnight. One overnight stay in Muscat.

Day 2/ Muscat – Jabrin- Bahla-AL Hamra
Breakfast in the hotel and check out. 280 Km: Today our tour starts with the visit of the Sultan Qaboos Grande Mosque, the largest Mosque in the country. Afterwards we leave Muscat and continue the ride to Jabrin. Surrounded by wild nature is the hunting lodge of Jabrin located, impressive by its stuccos and paintings. On the way to Al Hamra photo stop in Bahla. The fort, a masterpiece of clay architecture, has been inscribed into UNESCO´s World Heritage List since 1987. Proceed trip to Al Hamra, where you will see traditional clay architecture, then check in to Hotel in Nizwa.

Day 3: / Nizwa – Birkat al Mouz – Jebel Akhdar
Tody we will start by visiting the Nizwa cattle market which takes place every Friday, and where men with daggers sell loudly their goats, sheeps and cows. Next to the fort lies the Nizwa Mosque with its distinctive blue and gold dome. Mountain expedition with comfortable 4x4 Jeep: Passing the fort of Birkat al Mouz you will drive to the most beautiful mountain in Oman, the Jebel Akhdar. Over narrow terraces with apricot and cherry trees and through picturesque villages you reach the plateau, famous for its rose fields. Enjoy the breathtaking view over deep gorges and to distant peaks.

Day 4:/ Jebel Akhdar
After breakfast in the hotel we drive up to some village, it is arabic for Green Mountain.During a 4-hours hiking tour you discover small villages with terrace fields. Walk in the shadow of fruit trees (Apricots, Pomegranates,…) and listen to the sound of water in the Falaj.

Day 5:/ Manah- Desert
Drive to oasis of Manah the houses and the elaborately carved wooden doors “tell” about old times. In Zeket you encounter traces of copper mining and hive graves of prehistoric times as well as an interesting ancient stairway. Overnight stay in a comfortable desert camp.

Day 6: / Maundy :Wadi bani Khalid – Sur
After breakfast in the camp drive to Wadi Bani Khalid. The pools has clear deep cool waters, where the shade of the palm trees is inviting for a relaxing siesta! Catch a glimpse of the pretty villages scattered all over Wadi Bani Khalid as they cling precariously to the slopes of the rugged mountain- side (Please bring along your swim- wear, the clear waters of the wadi are very inviting! Also please note that light clothing and walking shoes may be more suitable on this trip). Proceed on to the Dhow building yard in Sur. Dhows are traditional Omani wooden fisher boats that are even today, built by hand.

Day 7: / Wadi Tiwi-Sinkhole- Muscat
After breakfast Continue via Qalhat where Bibi Miriam’s tomb (photo stop from the main highway) is located. Proceed to Wadi Tiwi - another spectacularly deep and narrow gorge carved out of the mountains, running between towering cliffs right down to the sea. After visiting the wadi – proceed to the white beaches of Finns where picnic lunch will be served. Also see the Bimah Sinkhole, a natural hole in the round created by a collapsing mountain. The hole is filled with blue-green sea water. Finally we pass through the village of Quriyat, guarded by its 18th century fort and return to Muscat. We will arrive to Mutrah before sunset to walk again in the souk and Corniche.

Day 8: / Muscat – Barka – Rustaq – Nakhl
The land of the forts: You drive to the fishing village Barka, where the fort presents beautiful china, afterwards to Bait Na’am, where once the Imams resided. The fort Al-Hazm with its opulent wooden door is a classic example for Omani fortress architecture. From a distance you can see the fort of the oasis Rustaq at the foot of Jebel Akhdar. Through picturesque Wadis you come to the palms of the oasis Nakhal with its beautiful palace – near to it the thermal water of the hot water spring Thowarah comes up.

Day 9: / Muscat - Salalah
In the morning we do a sightseeing tour in Muscat with magnificent residential and green areas. We visit the only opera in the golf countries as well as the natural history museum. We proceed our tour to the Muttrah Souq, the traditional market which enjoys great popularity. Walking through Old-Muscat brings us to a photo stop at the palace of the Sultan. We will have a common Omani typical lunch. In the late afternoon your flight goes to Salalah. 2 Overnight stays.

Day 10: / Salalah
The land of the incense at the border with Jemen: In Salalah you see the sultan’s palace from the outside, the grave of Zacharias and Joachim as well as the souq for the incense, also famous for gold and silver jewelry. The museum illustrates history and traditions. Excavations show that al Balid was in medieval times an important port town. Your vehicle brings you across the Qara-mountains to the wonderful lain grave of job and the trees of the incense, of which the tree resin was even more precious as gold. In Mughsayl you see – according to the tides - amazing fountains coming out of the sea.

Day 11: / Salalah (North)
A paradise with springs and flowers is the place of Ayn Razat at the foot of the mountains. In the mountain range you meet herds of camels of the Jebalis. The impressive ruins of Sumhuram come from the legendary port of incense, which is increased located close to the lagoon. In the midst of an islamic graveyard is the funeral chapel of the sheik Muhammed Ali and in Mirbat ancients merchant’s houses show the former wealth of the harbour city. In the evening flight back to Muscat. One overnight stay.

Day 12 /Relaxing
Two days free time and relaxing at the long private beach in the middle of a green area. In the evening of the second day transfer to the airport and after midnight return flight with SWISS.
